Gamujae Victory Memorial

This memorial was built in the Mugeuk Battlefield Resort to commemorate the Gamujae (Eumseong) Battle, the South Korean army’s first defeat of the North during the Korean War. The weaponry, lifestyle and dreadful scenes of war during the Korean War are on display. Located in the vicinity of this memorial are a victory stele, victory tower, monument for the war dead and a Vietnam veterans memorial.
