It is very popular as the specialty product of Eumseong region due to its soft pulp, high sugar content, and incredibly juicy texture, leading to it being designated as a food officially supplied to the government. Furthermore, it is recognized as the nation’s top quality product, having been awarded the grand prize in the Agro Power Brand Fair hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (MAFRA). Every August, Hessare Gamgok Peach Festival is held in Gamgok-myeon, and in October, the Eumseong Fruit Tree Contest is held in Eumseong-eup.
